SUMMARY:STEM Summer Camps
DESCRIPTION:STEM Summer Camps at the Museum of Aviation offer Pre K – 12th grade students six weeks of hands-on\, STEM and History focused learning experiences to choose from. Rigorous\, goal setting experiences challenge students to solve problems while highlighting career opportunities and workforce development strategies. SUMMARY:Mission Quest Flight Simulation Spring Break Camp
DESCRIPTION:This is an all day camp. \nStudents must bring a packed lunch each day. \nStudents will eat lunch from 12 noon – 12:30 pm with instructor. \n\n\n\n\nStudent pilots will receive detailed instruction on aerodynamics\, flight physics\, communications\, aerospace history\, situational awareness\, Newton’s Laws of Motion\, flight planning\, chart use\, teamwork\, decision making\, risk assessment\, aerospace math\, Science and Technology\, forces of flight\, Bernoulli’s Principle\, internal combustion engines\, turbine engines\, pilot licensing\, and careers in aviation.Students will get a chance to fly Cessnas as well as USAF jets\, in clear and bad weather conditions in the Mission Quest Flight Simulation Lab.   They will fly two combat sorties as well as fly WWII aircraft. \nYou supply the aircrew\, we supply the adrenaline!\nMarch27 – 30\n9:00 am – 3:30 pm\n6th – 12th Grades\n$140 each\n\n\n\n

The fun-filled outing will include a snow play area\, obstacle course\, bounce houses\, petting zoo\, and a hay ride just to name a few!  For anyone ages 7 and above can test your skills on rock wall climbing. \nThere will be a live DJ to keep you and your children rocking and rolling through the line-up of Food Truck Vendors. \nWhile visiting the museum\, our National STEM Academy will be hosting a Kids Chemistry Demonstration. The National STEM Academy has reached more than 52\,000 students this year alone! \nEnjoy our pavilion and children’s playground\, take a self-guided tour through the museum’s hangars; then take a break at Jet Fuel Java with a flavored latte or macchiato on a cold day.  Holiday Characters will be on the museum campus for photo opportunities with your children.  We will also have a photo booth for selfie photo ops! \nFamily Fun Day is truly a day of great fun for all ages.  We look forward to seeing you!
