University information : Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is a Historically Black College located in Atlanta. CAU was one of the original four members of the Georgia Space Grant Consortium.Clark Atlanta University is a private institution that was formed in 1988 with the merging of Atlanta University, solely a graduate school, and Clark University, an undergraduate liberal arts school. Today, undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees, as well as certificate programs are offered. Thirty-eight different areas of study are offered. Carnegie has classified CAU as a Doctoral/Research University and is out of four HBCUs with this distinction.
